The marketing team at See Water, Inc. plans its social media content 3-4 weeks before the upcoming month. This process includes creating graphics, writing copy, and scheduling posts to highlight See Water, Inc.'s products and services as the top choice in its industries.
During my summer 2024 internship, I focused on ensuring that See Water, Inc.'s traditional and trustworthy brand image was reflected in its social media content for July.
My tasks included:
Collaborating with the marketing team to determine the content (videos, graphics, or articles) and scheduling for social media posts
Researching the brand to develop a professional and friendly voice in copywriting
Gaining product knowledge to create engaging and accurate information for a broad audience on platforms like LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter), and Instagram
Editing product images in Photoshop, transferring them to Adobe Illustrator, and designing graphics that aligned with the copy
Researching industry news about the wastewater sector
Using Loomly, a social media management platform, to schedule posts and receive feedback from Senior Leadership, adjusting content as needed
Monitoring the social media content throughout the month, ensuring timely posting across all platforms
See Water, Inc. primarily targets manufacturer representatives and customers on LinkedIn and X, making these platforms their main channels for social media content. Being active on LinkedIn and X allows See Water, Inc. to stay ahead of competitors by being among the first to share industry news and innovations, reinforcing its position as a market leader. The company focuses on posting graphics and videos, as these formats are considered the most effective for conveying educational information about complex product features and benefits.
